The Coffs Harbour and District Local Aboriginal Land Council facilitated an Aboriginal Cultural Education workshop for professionals working in the land management/environmental industry.

The session was facilitated by our Senior Cultural Heritage Officer, Uncle Mark Flanders. Uncle Mark shared with the participants how to identify cultural objects out in the field, what should they do if they come across them, and shared some of the stories of the Gumbaynggirr people in regards to areas of significance where environmental works may take place.

The workshop was attended by Landcare teams, NSW Government workers and even workers in the education sector. Local entertainment was provided by “Yugirr”, the pod of dolphins who were frolicking along the coastline.
