Breakfast with the Minister of Aboriginal Affairs

This morning we had the opportunity to hold a Breakfast Event where we invited our Local Partnerships and LALC Members along to meet the Minister of Aboriginal Affairs, The Honorable Sarah Mitchell who was accompanied by MP Mr Andrew Fraser.

The morning started with Aunty Jenny Skinner performing welcome to country which was followed by the LALC CEO Nathan Brennan welcoming everyone to the event “Today is a great opportunity for our people to meet the Minister and for the Minister to see that we are a strong and united community”.

The Minister thanked the community for the warm welcome from everyone adding that she was looking forward to having a yarn with everyone.

After brief formalities it allowed time for breakfast and mingling. We would like to acknowledge the great work of Nyanggan Gapi Catering. Putting on an an amazing breakfast grazing table.

Overall a great morning and want to thank the Minister for visiting and all community organisations and services that attended also.

In addition we would like to thank Aboriginal Affairs for setting this up alongside us and partnering in holding this event.
