Dan Flanders is a proud Gumbaynggirr man and is currently the Darrunda Wajaar Land & Sea Management Ranger for the Coffs Harbour and District LALC.

Who ya Mob and Where ya from?

My mob is all of Gumbaynggirr mob, but also I feel a strong connection with all our people across this country of ours we call Australia – as we are all connected somewhere along the lines. I grew up on Gumbaynggirr.

Tell us abit about yourself?

Extremely passionate about our culture and everything involved. I love being out on country and seeing all of natures magic. It’s truly magnificent to learn about plants and animals and to be a protector of this great place.

What are you most excited about, whilst working at Coffs Harbour LALC?

Working with my mob and learning about our culture, mother nature. With having over 10 years of experience on country I am able to pass on my knowledge and experience to people which is a great feeling, I love it.
