The Team at Bularri Muurlay Nyanggan Aboriginal Corporation deliver an after-school Goori Learning Centre (GLC) which has had a number of countless educational activities to get our students involved and engaged. One of the highlights would be attending the Dolphin Marine Magic to lean about pets inside to save lives (7th of September – National threated species day). We also had the Wajaarr Ngaarlu dance mob creating accessories for their performances, which you can check out these school holidays along with stories, language, basket weaving, damper making and many more events up at Sealy Lookout.

At the Yarrawarra GLC; the students went for a walk behind the old camp at Corindi Beach where Uncle Bing showed the kids where he was born and told stories of the fun times he had growing up there. The students and tutors tried pigface plant, which was a hit with the kids!

The Goori Learning Centre (South) has made the transition to the Boambee East Community Centre which has been a great experience allowing the students to take full advantage of the open space outside.

If you are interested with getting your children(s) involved at the Goori Learning Centre times are as followed;

Monday: Boambe East Community Centre

Tuesday: Yarrawarra Cultural Centre Conference Hall

Wednesday: Wongala Estate -Land Council Hall
