We would like to welcome Matthew Smith to the Coffs LALC Family! He has been settling into his new role for the past few weeks now. Matthew was appointed as the Project Coordinator who oversees our Darrunda Wajaarr Rangers and Cultural Heritage program.
🖤💛❤️ YARNS WITH MATTHEW 🖤💛❤️
Who ya Mob and Where ya From?
I was born in Blacktown, Sydney and grew up around Coffs Harbour since I was 10 years old. My mob is the Flander’s from Bowraville – I’m a proud Gumbaynggirr man.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
I enjoy being in the fresh air – doing bush walks, river-bank walks, swimming and bushlands. I also like to practice traditional culture and am interested in growing my own produce and learning bushcrafts.
What are you most excited about, whilst working for the Coffs LALC?
I’m excited about getting involved in community and being able to work and practice culture at the same time.
Welcome to the Team, Matthew Smith! 🙂
