Yesterday we held our 3rd Junior Darrunda Wajaarr Ranger Day!
We all met at the Park next to Dolphin Marine Conservation Park to do sign ups and meet and greets. From there Duan from Dolphin Marine Conservation Park showed our Junior Rangers a sick turtle and expressed how important it is to keep our environment clean and rubbish free.
From their our Junior Rangers split into TWO Teams and went up both sides of the Coffs Creek to clean up the banks of the Creek.
We had collected a total of 20 Hessian Sand Bags full of Rubbish.
Which were broken up between Recycling, General Waste and Metals.
Along the way our Team showed the Junior Rangers Bush Tucker Plants and practiced Gumbaynggirr Language.
Our destination was Coffs Harbour Botanic Gardens where we relaxed and had some lunch!
This wrapped up the day but we worked the young ones and most importantly they enjoyed it 🥰❤️ We love these days so much! Looking forward to the NEXT one!
